Its Friday…some pics from Crikey and some sunsets….

Todays post is going to be pretty brief folk as i’m off to a really close friends wedding in oxfordshire, but i’ve got lots of pics to share. Last friday i packed up Humble caravan and set off on a journey across the border from cornwall to devon, to fulfill a weekend of new vintage fairs, friends 40th’s, catching sunsets and dodging wild rain storms. On saturday I attended my first Crikey its Vintage Fair in Exeter, held at the Thistle Hotel.

Here’s some pics of my stall there…

The night before setting off to Crikey we set up Humble caravan at a great campsite called Maker  in a hidden corner of cornwall, near Millbrook its great you can have campfires, your own area for groups, hire a yurt, it’s got artist studios, a cafe and a bar and venue called The Random Arms.

The Random Arms at the campsite

So after getting up in true bleary eyed fashion on saturday morning (5am!) we were set up reasonably early, which gave me chance to pop around and look at some of the other stalls- what a treasure trove of delights!

The lovely Aloha Lounge Designs

Some great item from Otto, a great shop in exeter.

One of my neighbours was  Lucky Lulu– check her out!

There were lots of other treasure to be found, kitsch, sparkly, chintzy, retro, rockabilly – its all there….

Crikey isn’t just about buying vintage it also has fashion shows, music, cakes, workshops, photo booths..i especially enjoyed the band and the dancers….

Company B – a great band!
Dancing Shoes!

I really recommend a trip to a Crikey Fair – check the poster at the beginning of the post for future dates.

Anyway after so much excitement, listening to great music, watching lindy-hopping dancers, meeting lots of lovely new and interesting people – it was back to cornwall, and back to this great sunset – lovely x

Well i’m off now to pack my goods to stay in my new home of a shepherds hut in oxfordshire – see you all when i get back! – keri – Humble Cottage x
